As one of only eight historic sites across the country dedicated to the interpretation of a First Lady, the museum tells the story of the overlooked, yet vitally important role Edith Bolling Wilson played in the White House at a pivotal moment during World War I.

Now in it’s 37th year, Wytheville’s Chautauqua Festival in the Park is the region’s only FREE arts and music festival. This eight day event is held during the third week of June and kicks off with the annual hot air balloon glow and launch and the Main street parade. The craft bazaar, quilt show, flower show, art & photography show, and pet show are just a small example of the exciting events held throughout the week. Each evening great performances are hosted on the main stage, with past performers including Mickey Guyton, Percy Sledge, Rhonda Vincent, and Chris Stapleton.
